As dedicated postpartum doulas, we come to serve you, care for you, educate you, and help you with daily activities while you rest to heal and adjust to life with your precious baby.
We do not require a minimum number of visits or total set hours per family. We do require a minimum of three hours per visit. Our time spent with your family depends on your circumstances and needs. It is common for us to spend several days a week in your home as you settle with a new family dynamic. Some families may work with us for a few days, weeks, or a few months. We strive to meet the needs of each family within the 12 months after birth.
Visitation Postpartum Doula Services:
- Providing support for the emotional adjustment to parenthood
- Support and assistance with breastfeeding and/or bottle-feeding
- Preparing/cleaning pump supplies or bottles
- Soothing your baby
- Baby wearing
- Assisting with the care of older siblings and helping them adjust to the new family member
- Providing support with basic pet care
- Light housekeeping
- Running errands and grocery shopping
- Small meal preparation for the mother and family members
- Resources and referrals
- Nonjudgmental support for family
- Organization of the home and nursery
- Baby’s laundry and family laundry as needed
- Creating a nurturing and quiet environment for the family
- Care for baby when parents want to shower, nap, or spend some special time with their other children or with each other
- Offering support in mother’s physical recovery after childbirth
Visitation Postpartum Doula Fees:
- $15-30 hr
